So the VMAs red carpet is the perf place to ask celebs what they're wearing, what projects they're working on and about, ya know, music videos (YES, we still play them on MTV.) But with the election right around the corner, we decided to get political with Alicia Keys, Tyga, Rihanna booty grabber A$AP Rocky, Big Sean (WHO HUGGED ME. UH-HUH. TRUE STORY.), Mac Miller, Jersey Shore's Pauly D, Vinny and Deena and other stars.

One Direction. Rihanna.Taylor Swift. Alicia Keys. Ahhhhh! We'll be there...IRL at the VMAs tonight at 8/7c!!!! What we are we gonna do besides avoid fainting at the sight of Max George? (Uh yah, The Wanted are presenting tonight.) We'll be on the red carpet talking to stars about their fave music videos with a message (since it's a VMA category and all), the election (Don't you wanna know what P!nk's campaign song would be if she was running for prez?) & who knows what else?!

You may have heard of the fun-loving band Grouplove. You may have not. Regardless, you have def. heard of their summer jam "Tongue Tied." We love the song so much! When Grouplove recently came by the MTV offices we picked the band's collective brain and asked them. "If y'all were running for president what would be your campaign song?"

Things are already getting cray this week with the election. Hurricane Isaac's looming threat has postponed the Republican National Convention to tomorrow. I know Friday night is looming and we're thinking about going out, celebrating the weekend and stuff. BUT if you want to get your mind blown and you're home for the night, tune in to "Inocente" at 10/9c on MTV. It's a touching documentary about Inocente Izucar, a 15-year-old undocumented Latina teen who's been homeless her entire life. Until her art changes things.
