Ever thought about starting an anti-bullying group on your campus, but couldn't even figure out where to begin? Alyssa Carfi, a Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) student, started Kind Over Matter with her classmates as part of their entry in the National Case Study Campaign Competition.

If there’s one thing we love here at MTV, it’s a celebration. And the best kind of celebration, in our eyes, is one that celebrates an organization that’s doing great work and making a real difference in the world. This week, we were lucky enough to attend the benefit for Girls Educational and Mentoring Services (GEMS), a friend of the mtvU Against Our Will Campaign.

If you’ve been paying attention to celebrity gossip this week, you’ve probably heard that manufacturers have been accused of using what amounts to slave labor in products sold by the Kardashian family’s labels. Though everyone, including the Kardashians, have been justifiably horrified by the allegations, it’s important to take a step back and realize that slavery is already present in many of the products that we buy. Just because it’s common doesn’t mean that we can’t take a stand on it and make sure that the products we buy are slave-free.

This week, Blake Lively unwillingly joined an exclusive club that no one wants to be in – that of celebs involved in sexting scandals. Unlike Rihanna, Vanessa, and the seemingly endless parade of celebs who get caught with their goodies out, though, Blake insists the photos are fake, and she’s taking legal action to make sure that anyone publishing them will cease and desist ASAP.
