The highly anticipated trailer for Angelina Jolie’s “Maleficent” premiered during the Grammy’s. In the trailer, Ang is looking pretty evil as she does her best villain impersonation, which I am a bit obsessed with. To make it even better, Lana Del Ray’s new song “Once Upon A Dream” is creepily playing in the background…+ Watch The Trailer For Maleficent.

As everyone knows, when Angelina is not working on set, she’s helping to save the world. So, it got us thinking we should highlight 4 other do-gooder’s who give back, but also played a dark villain on screen.

+ Tom Felton – Harry Potter

Uh, Draco Malfoy! Such a terror during the Harry Potter books, right? Off screen he is quite the opposite. Last February, Tom joined the END 7 campaign to shine a light on the importance of ending common tropical illnesses.

+ Zoe Kravitz – X-Men-First Class

Love me some Zoe! From her fashion to her acting skills, she is a rising star and one to watch. When she isn’t making movies, she is helping the Occupy Movement (when it was a thing)!

+ James Franco – Spider Man 3

What a lil’ hottie James is! Although he played a villain in Spider Man 3 the amount of good this actor does off screen is inspiring. Whether it’s with the Art Of Elysium, or standing up for LGBT rights the conclusion is clear,  I want to marry him.

+ Julia Roberts – Mirror Mirror

Back in 2012, Julia Roberts jumped into the dark role of the Queen in Mirror Mirror. In real life, she is far from the crown wearing villain. From Stand Up To Cancer, to supporting the Malibu Boys and Girls club, she is one of Hollywood’s finest. When it comes to Stand Up To Cancer, she revealed, “This extraordinary movement has assembled dream teams of the best doctors and scientists collaborating at a frantic pace to save our lives.”

+ Joseph Gordon Levitt – GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra

Although he may have played Rex in The Rise of Cobra, in real life he plays quite a good activist! From ending gun violence, to encouraging fans to support Leo DiCaprio’s Antarctica petition, he lends his voice to many great causes.

+ Charlize Theron – Snow White and the Huntsman

Charlize played the selfish, icy Queen in Snow White and the Huntsman, but what Charlize is doing in real life is far from evil. Her personal charity, Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Program, is doing some great work. Charlize is on a totally inspiring mission to end AIDS, and we love her for that.
