American Idol vs. The Voice...which panel of judges has the (philanthropic) x-factor? The final vote is in your hands...who ya gonna give it to? With the X-Factor judges axed, there are only two music competitions in town, and both have some serious do-gooding judges! Here's a rundown of who's giving back - from J.Lo to Cee-Lo - and the organizations that are making 'em sing high notes.
The Idol Judges
+ Jennifer Lopez
What doesn't J.Lo do?! She sings, dances, acts and lends lots of her free time to promoting women's empowerment. Last year, the "On The Floor" star teamed up with Gillette Venus to launch the "Goddess" campaign that donated thousands of dollars to organizations in an effort to help young women "reach their fullest potential." And as if that weren't enough, Lopez started her own organization, The Maribel Foundation, to focus on improving access to family healthcare both in the US and abroad.
+ Steven Tyler
When he's not wooing the women on Idol, Tyler's got his hands full chairing the board of the Elton John AIDS Foundation. In the last few years, EJAF has raised millions of dollars for AIDS research by hosting a Academy Awards viewing party with proceeds going directly to the cause. This year the org is even auctioning off a chance to sit with the Aerosmith lead singer at Elton's Oscar viewing soiree. And late last year, Tyler also lent his likeness to a Cabbage Patch doll which was auctioned off on eBay to support the Children's Action Network.
+ Randy Jackson
After being inspired by an "Idol Gives Back" episode, Randy Jackson became a US Ambassador for Save The Children. He traveled to his hometown of New Orleans just after Hurricane Katrina, then stuck with the org to "raise awareness of the critical needs of children in the United States, especially those in poor, rural areas." He also started his own website, RandyJacksonNext.com, with a Give section that informs users on all the cool ways to give back in their daily lives.
The Voice Judges
+Cee Lo Green
Cee-Lo's got a big voice and a big heart. He was recently spotted at a Puma event in LA, donating some worn shoes to Soles4Souls, an organization that provides gently worn kicks to those in need. But he's got more appearances on his calendar - look out for Green to rock the house at a Muhammad Ali charity event in February, where guests will help raise money to "knock out memory disorders."
+ Christina Aguilera
Ms. "Beautiful" Aguilera has given up a lot of her time to charities recently. She recently auctioned off a chance to meet on the set of The Voice on charitybuzz.com and was one of the initial celebs featured on eBay's new celebrity-giving site. Not enough? Well, maybe we should mention the fact that she helped raise $22 million dollars to support the World Food Programme, providing nourishment to countless children. Sounds like #winning!
+ Adam Levine
Remember the naked photo of Adam Levine that raced across the internets last Feburary? Yah, that was for charity. Within hours, Levine's crotch-shot helped raise major awareness about prostate and testicular cancer. Who knew testicular cancer was the most likely malignancy for men 20-34? Thanks, A.
+Blake Shelton
Country star Blake Shelton's no stranger to giving. For his last bday, he asked his millions of fans to forward any gifts to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. The "Honey Bee" singer also used his clout in the country sphere to raise money for troops abroad, donating a signed Country Music Awards program to the USO.
