No wonder Madonna is still the Queen of Pop...the Vogue-diva won't let any other female artist get close to her throne! Just days before her own Super Bowl performance, Madonna bashed Janet Jackson's controversial halftime show.
In an interview with NY1, she distances herself from Janet-like tactics saying, "You don't have to show nipples to be interesting, and it doesn't necessarily mean you're cutting edge if you do." Janet's choreographer Gil Duldulao responded on Twitter, "U don't have to kiss a girl on stage to be cutting edge or interesting. Lol." So, we're going to leave this one up to you: who deserves the (do-gooder) throne? Let's take a look...
+ Madonna
When the mega-musician isn't taking jabs at other artists, she's either putting the final touches on her upcoming album MDNA or glossing off her recently snagged Golden Globe Award. But Madonna's got lots to be proud of outside of her musical accomplishments. Her organization, Raising Malawi, has recently re-structured and will begin construction shortly on multiple schools in Kasungu. Teaming up with the non-profit buildOn, of which Barack Obama is an honorary chair, Madonna and her org hope to bring education and nourishment to over 1,000 children in Malawi by 2013.
+ Janet Jackson
The nip-slipping diva has been all over the television recently, shilling out diet products and talking about the importance of healthy eating. But just before she hit the boob-tube (get it?!), Jackson held a charity performance in Wales to raise money for AIDS Project Los Angeles. But Jackson's no stranger to raising tens of thousands of dollars, she once called in to the Ellen DeGeneres show offering up $10,000 for Ellen's Feeding America fundraiser.
So, when the claws aren't out, who's the don-diva of do-gooder-pop-dom? Vote by taking action below, or on Facebook!
