Dinner and a movie sounds like the perfect wintertime excursion, but you’d better take that romance outdoors while the sun is still out! Here are a few of our fave celebrity eco-friendly dates!
+ Emma Stone & Andrew Garfield Love Walks
See those two things dangling from your home/office/bedroom chair? Those are your legs. And they’re pretty freakin’ awesome at getting you places. Take a page out of Emma Stone and Andrew Garfield‘s book, and walk to and from your next rendezvous. Or take it to the next level with a weekend hike. Not only will you be doing the environment — and your health — a big favor, but long walks are a great way to get to know someone … and a great excuse to hold hands.
+ Miley Cyrus & Liam Hemsworth Can’t Stop Hiking
Miley and Liam recently took a hiking excursion in Alberta, Canada, where Liam is filming his next project, “Cut Bank.” Miley wore booty shorts — you know, just in case she felt the sudden urge to twerk on a tree!
+ Taylor Swift & Ed Sheeran Have Fun Paddle Boarding
OK, so Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran aren’t actually a couple (yet), but the dynamic duo recently hit the Rhode Island waters for a quick paddle boarding sesh between stops on the “Red” tour. (If they ever get together, they should totally rename it the “Ted” tour.) Beaches, lakes and rivers are always great eco-friendly date spots … and they’re typically free, so, yeah, #winning.
+ The Wanted Go Biking
Bromance before romance, yo … and nothin’ screams “bromance” like a tandem bicycle ride. Just ask The Wanted‘s Tom and Jay, who once Instagrammed an epic tandem man date! According to the Center for Disease Control, if 20% of young people living within 2 miles of school were to bike there and back, it would spare 4.3 million miles of driving per day, and prevent 356,000 tons of carbon dioxide from being emitted annually. Not to mention the money saved on gas. Screw dinner and movie! Let’s go for a bike ride instead!
